Singapore International Band Festival (SIBF) is a biennial festival that was started in 2008 by the Wind Bands Association of Singapore. Since then, SIBF has built a reputation as an international stage in Asia that provides developmental opportunity for wind bands and upholds high artistic integrity in its adjudication. The 2022 SIBF comprises of Competition for Bands and Ensembles, Concert Showcase, Winner’s Concert and Workshop with Adjudicators.

SIBF Concert Showcase by Philharmonic Wind Orchestra
Aimed to inspire local artists and band audiences with the performance of high-quality repertoire, both old and new, the SIBF Concert Showcase will feature the Philharmonic Wind Orchestra.
Comprising over 150 skilled musicians, Philharmonic Wind Orchestra was founded in 2022 to continue the legacy of The Philharmonic Winds and Philharmonic Youth Winds. Led by Music Director Dr Leonard Tan and guest conductor Lau Lifeng, the band will perform the following programme:

Wine-Dark Sea : Symphony for Band by John Mackey

SIBF Division 1 Band Competition
The Division 1 Band Contest features three competing bands, Wind Ensemble Nippon Singapore, Republic Polytechnic Wind Symphony and National University of Singapore Wind Symphony. Programme for the concert includes:

SIBF Winners' Concert
The grand finale of SIBF, the Winners Concert will allow us to witness again the rousing performance by the winning bands and ensembles from all divisions of the SIBF contest. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to share the joy and celebrate with the winning bands and ensembles of SIBF.
The winning bands and their repertoire will be announced on www.sibf.sg from 27 to 29 July as the competition takes place.

Safe Management Measures
- From 26 April 2022, only fully vaccinated, recovered, medically ineligible individuals, or children aged 12 and below (i.e. born in or after the year 2010) will be allowed admission into the venue. This requirement remains in place as more than 500 audience members may attend this concert.
- To ensure sufficient time for admission and safe distancing, please arrive at the venue at least 20 minutes before the start of the concert.
- SafeEntry via Tracetogether app or token is required for admission into the concert hall.
- Latecomers will only be admitted at suitable breaks, if any.
- No changing of seats is allowed.
- Refunds will not be granted to ticket-holders who do not meet these admission requirements.
Note: An individual is considered vaccinated if he/ she has been: a) fully vaccinated, i.e. has received the appropriate regimen of World Health Organisation Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL) vaccines including their respective duration post-vaccination for the vaccine to be fully effective, and had their vaccination records ingested in MOH’s national IT systems ; or b) recovered from COVID-19 within the last 180 days.
