Mosaic Music Series It's All Here ...
Just like nothing that happens is ever lost if you hold it in your mind, It's All Here Somewhere is a repository of poignant memories, unspoken fears, and faltering hope. Hanging Up The Moon launches their fourth and latest album as part of Mosaic Music Series. This concert features Alexius Cai (Piblokto). Dean Aziz (Concave Scream), Victor Low (Affixen), Evan Tan and Andy Chia (Sa) with a special opening performance by Bennett Bay.Hanging Up The Moon started off as the solo project of Sean Lam, ex-frontman of Concave Scream, one of Singapore's pioneer indie bands. Recorded entirely in his study in the wee hours of the morning, his self-titled debut album was a stripped-down affair. Its quiet sound captivating both critics and listeners alike. In the albums that followed, Hanging Up The Moon explored different soundscapes with the help of good friends and fellow veterans of the Singapore music scene: Alexius Cai (Piblokto), Dean Aziz (Concave Scream), Leslie Low (The Observatory) and Victor Low (Affixen). On his latest album, Lam is joined once again by longtime collaborators Alexius Cai, Dean Aziz and Victor Low. It's All Here Somewhere also features Darren Ng (SONICBRAT) and Andy Chia (SA) on selected tracks. Mixed and produced by Victor Low and mastered by James Plotkin. The 180g heavyweight vinyl is pressed at Record Industry with album art by Dan Gries.

Ash - Live in Singapore
LAMC Productions is excited to announce that Irish Alternative trio, ASH, will perform in Singapore on Tuesday, 31 July, 2018 at Hard Rock Cafe Singapore! It’s worth considering here the Northern Irish trio’s journey to this point. Wheeler and Hamilton’s friendship and musical adventures began in 1989, when the two 12-year-olds founded (unheralded) heavy metal titans Vietnam in their hometown of Downpatrick, County Down. Though the band ultimately fell apart as grunge re-arranged the face of rock music, the duo remained united, recruiting 16-year-old drummer Rick McMurray for their new vehicle, Ash, a classic power trio inspired by Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Pixies and local alt.rock heroes Lazer Gun Nun.The group’s debut single, Jack Names The Planets was funded and released by London-based radio plugger Stephen Taverner on his own La La Land label in 1994, picking up airplay and plaudits from influential Radio 1 DJs John Peel, Steve Lamacq and Mark Radcliffe. That same year, Korda Marshall, the former Head of A&R for RCA Records, snapped up the teenage rockers as one of the first signings to his newly created Infectious Records label. The group’s first two Infectious singles, Petrol and Uncle Pat, topped the UK indie charts: the third, the irresistible Kung Fu, equally indebted to martial arts legend Jackie Chan and punk pioneers Ramones, marked the trio out one of the nation’s most exciting new bands. 1995 saw Ash crack the UK Top 20 for the first time, with pop-punk classics Girl From Mars and Angel Interceptor, before the Top 10 success of Goldfinger prefigured their debut album, 1977, crashing into the UK album chart at number one.ASH’s latest album, ‘Islands’ was released in May 2018 and received rave reviews.Islands is an open-hearted set of songs dealing with love and loss, friendship and betrayal, identity, salvation, redemption and rebirth… all the important stuff. Pound-for-pound, it’s also the strongest, most exhilarating long player of Ash’s storied 26-year career, an album which reaffirms the trio’s status as one of the most idiosyncratic and singularly thrilling guitar bands on these islands.“We’ve had two number one albums and 18 Top 40 singles,” reflects Wheeler, “so when we were making this record, part of the thinking was, is this song strong enough to knock one of the big hits out of our live set? With Islands, I think we’ve given ourselves a nice problem, because these are some of the best songs we’ve ever written. We’re excited to be back…”ASH is Tim Wheeler, Mark Hamilton and Rick McMurray.

Exceptionally gifted with an unusually broad repertoire, Freddy has built a unique reputation as an explosive and physical performer who is not afraid to take risks as well as a serious, sensitive and profoundly musical artist.Born in London in 1977, Freddy made his concerto debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 8 and further came to national prominence in 1992 when he won the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition. In 1998, his award of third, rather than first, prize in the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in Moscow provoked protests from the audience and an outcry in the Russian press, which proclaimed him "the hero of the competition".Freddy has collaborated with conductors such as Dutoit, Petrenko, Davis, Sinaisky, Chailly, Tortelier, Sawallisch, Buribayev and Simonov, and has worked with some of the world's most prestigious musical institutions including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony, Philharmonia Orchestra, La Scala Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, NHK Symphony and more. Dialogues of the Carmelites
Would you die for your faith?Standing before the guillotine, eyes blinded by stare of the merciless sun, ears deafened by the cries of the crowd. They scream for your death. Your death. You take another step. Your breath, cold against the hot summer air, is quick and ragged. Fear creeps down your spine as your sisters are silenced right in front of your eyes, one by one. Their song ended abruptly by the sharp kiss of metal on flesh. Their life poured to the ground like a dark velvet river. To surrender blood and tears for something you believe in.Could you die for your faith? You lean forward. The collar fits like a lover’s soft fingers around your neck. A breath. The soft whisper of the blade as rushes to you.Silence.New Opera presents…The Dialogues of the Carmelites. Sung in English.
