CIRCUS! SCIENCE UNDER THE BIG TOP!
Get ready for Circus! Science Under The Big Top as it comes to the Science Centre Singapore from 28 October 2017 to 18 March 2018.The exhibition highlights how science has always had an important role in the circus and how circus relies upon a balance of artistry and science to meet new challenges and fulfil audience expectations. Visitors will ''live the science'' through the magic of the circus. The exhibition will showcase a collection of exhibits that visitors can try on. Below are some of them: Elastic Acrobatics - visitors will gain a better understanding of what it feels like by performing their own tricks while hanging in mid-air with a safety harness strapped around them; The High Wire - visitors will strap themselves into a harness and see if they can make it across a nine-foot-high cable; Balance Bar - visitors are challenged to maintain their balance, not allowing their feet to strike the ground; Contortionist - visitors can explore the art of getting into small spaces; Clown Alley - visitors will see some tools of the trade and will be able to try them out in the costume and role play area. any many more!Magic shows and activities will also form part of this interactive and educational extravaganza!

Don’t miss the exciting grand finale and celebration concert to the week long SVBC week in Singapore where audiences, conductors and music teachers get to interact with the world famous choir in various activities in Singapore centered on these main themes: See, Sing, Study and Socialise with the Vienna Boys Choir. The choir will be joined on stage by the kids’ philharmonic@sg Orchestra in the second half of the concert. Maestro Luiz de Godoy will conduct both the choir and orchestra. Godoy is the 2016 recipient of the Erwin Ortner Prize for Choral Music. The Vienna Boys Choir has been singing at Vienna's Imperial Chapel since 1296. In 1498, Maximilian I (HRR) moved his court to Vienna, lock, stock, and choir, thus founding the “Hofmusikkapelle” (Chapel Imperial), and the Vienna Boys Choir. Over the centuries, the Viennese Court attracted great musicians like Isaac, de Monte, Fux, Caldara, Gluck, Salieri, Mozart, and Bruckner; Joseph Haydn, Michael Haydn, and Franz Schubert were themselves choir boys. Until 1918, the boys sang exclusively for the court. In the 1920s, the choir was reestablished as a private organisation. Professor Gerald Wirth is the its Artistic Director, and its president.Today, there are 100 choristers between the ages of nine and fourteen, divided into four touring choirs. Each choir spends nine to eleven weeks of the academic year on tour. Together, the choirs give around 300 concerts each year, attended by almost half a million spectators around the world. The choir regularly tours Europe, Asia and Australia, and the Americas. The choir’s repertoire includes everything from medieval to contemporary music. Motets and lieder form the core of the touring repertoire, as do the choir’s own arrangements of Viennese music. The choir also performs children’s operas and world music. The Vienna Boys Choir performs with major orchestras, such as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Staatskapelle Berlin, the Oslo Philharmonic, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, conducted by world famous conductors. You can find out more about SVBC week at www.svbc.sg regarding master classes and other activities.

Don Moen Live - ''Deeper in Love'' ...
Ask Don Moen what he does, and the answer might surprise you. He won't say he's a songwriter even though he's written more than 100 songs. He won't say he's a worship leader even though he's led worship on every continent but Antarctica and recorded numerous albums. He won't say he's a businessman or producer even though he has produced and directed hundreds of successful projects. If you ask Don Moen why God put him on this planet, he'll tell you, "To be an architect who designs products and events that help people experience God's presence in a new and fresh way." And in more than three decades of ministry, he's had lots of opportunity to fulfill that purpose. His discography reflects his passion to create resources for the church that lead people into an honest and intimate relationship with the Lord. In 2002, his peers recognized that lifelong commitment and presented him with the Ray DeVries Church Ministry Award. Don has also received a Dove Award for his work on the musical "God With Us" and has received multiple Dove Award nominations for his songs, CDs and choral resources. In addition to his writing and recording, Don makes time to tour domestically and abroad and has performed with artists such as Chris Tomlin, Twila Paris, Sara Groves and Paul Baloche to name a few. He also has served as worship leader for past National Day of Prayer events and as a music industry spokesperson, having been featured on Fox News, NPR and in USA Today. Don is as popular overseas as he is at home in the U.S. His travels for concerts and seminars have taken him to Ghana, South Africa, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Guatemala, Honduras, and elsewhere. Today, Don is President of Don Moen Productions in Nashville, Tennessee, where he resides with his wife Laura and five children.

LAMC Productions is proud to welcome back hard rock and progressive metal titans Dream Theater, as part of their Images, Words & Beyond 25th Anniversary Tour to Singapore on Oct 3, 2017, at Zepp @ Bigbox Singapore! This tour will see the pioneering group celebrating the 25th anniversary of their milestone RIAA gold-certified album, "Images & Words." The legion of fiercely devoted Dream Theater diehards around the world expect nothing less than a smart, fully immersive, experiential journey through otherworldly soundscapes."Images & Words" is the band's highest-selling album and reached No.61 on The Billboard 200 chart. Known for its excellent mix of progressive metal stylings with heartfelt vocals and thought-provoking lyrics, the album was also voted as Loudwire's Metal Madness award for best metal album of all time in 2013.The band embarked on the first leg of the "Images, Words & Beyond 25th Anniversary Tour" by kicking things off with two sold-out nights at Rome, Italy's Auditorium Parco Della Musica."Combining old classics with new cuts, Dream Theater demonstrates why they've managed to stick around all these years." - Pop MattersDream Theater's three decades of continually redefining the parameters of hard rock and progressive heavy metal, overcoming obstacles, surpassing critical expectations, and resisting the incessant winds of industry uncertainty. Staying an exciting course in a sea littered with also-rans, pretenders, and opportunists, Dream Theater's body of work endures with singular triumph.Originally named Majesty by Berklee College of Music students Petrucci, bassist John Myung, and drummer Mike Portnoy, the band soon expanded with the addition of keyboard player Kevin Moore and vocalist Chris Collins. Releasing an eigh--tune demo, Majesty Demo, as Majesty, the group sold 1,000 copies within six months. The departure of Collins in late 1986 left Majesty without a vocalist, and after a long period of auditioning possible replacements, the group settled on Charlie Dominici in November 1987. Changing its name, the group agreed on "Dream Theater," inspired by a now-demolished California movie theater.Following a couple of changes over the years, Dream Theater's current lineup includes John Petrucci on guitar, John Myung on bass, James LaBrie on vocals, Jordan Rudess on keyboards and continuum and Mike Mangini on drums. Dream Theater released their latest studio album, The Astonishing in January 2016 to generally favourable reviews and debuted in the top ten of nine countries and became the first Dream Theater album to reach number one on the US Billboard Rock Chart."Prog-metal heroes go all the way on an epic rock opera with The Astonishing" - Rolling Stones
