Loudness - Rise To Glory Tour - Liv...
Japanese Heavy Metal Legends LOUDNESS Returns with a brand new album “Rise to Glory”, released worldwide on 26 Jan 2018, via Ward Records for Japan and throughout Europe and USA via earMusic records, home to other world-class acts such as Deep Purple,Alice Cooper, Status Quo, Def Leppard and Thunder.LOUDNESS are:Akira Takasaki – GuitarMinoru Niihara – VocalsMasayoshi Yamashita – BassMasayuki Suzuki – DrumsLOUDNESS is undisputedly Japan’s biggest rock export. Since their inception in 1981, they have become heavy metal icons respected by bands and fans not only in Japan but also all over the world. To this day, they remain one of the most influential cultural figures from Japan.“RISE TO GLORY” is a declaration from the metal legends LOUDNESS to the metal world. The time has come; the metal monster from the East is ready and armed to shake the earth with all their powerful weapons from the past to the present, marching on their path to glory.Guitar hero Akira Takasaki describes the album as the culmination of everything LOUDNESS have done throughout the years: “We have always played fast and melodiously, even before the dawn of thrash metal. We still have the heaviness and progressive elements we had back in 2000, when the original line-up re-formed, they are all here in this album. There is a ‘back to basics’ approach to the music, but it is also a step forward.”Minoru Niihara compares his vocals performance on “RISE TO GLORY” with “DISILLUSION” (1984). “There is a lot of aggression, but there is also an emphasis on the melodies and lyrics. The album shows a positive side of LOUDNESS.” Even the tunings represent a fusion of the past and the present. Says Masayoshi Yamashita “Since we reformed, we tended to use downtuning, but in the previous album we used more standard tunings. “RISE TO GLORY” is a mixture of both and thus has both the vicious side and the melodic side of LOUDNESS.”Formed in 1981 by guitar legend Akira Takasaki and drummer Munetaka Higuchi, LOUDNESS was first introduced to the world outside of Japan through their North American and European tour in 1983. To propel the ever-growing domestic and international interest in the band, LOUDNESS recorded their fourth album “DISLLUSION” (1984) in both English and Japanese. LOUDNESS went on to make history in 1984, becoming the first Japanese band to sign with an international record label, Atlantic Records. Together with their producer Max Norman, their first international release “THUNDER IN THE EAST” (1985) and the single “Crazy Nights” were met with global success, peaking at #4 in Japan and #74 on the US Billboard charts, where it charted for 19 weeks.Touring as opening act for Motley Crue in 1985, LOUDNESS made yet another historical milestone, becoming the first ever Japanese act to play at the prestigious Madison Square Garden. 1986 saw LOUDNESS reach even greater heights of international success, with the album “LIGHTNING STRIKES” (1986) debuting at #64 on the US Billboard charts and their successful North American headline tour supported by Poison and Cinderella. LOUDNESS also rocked the stages on AC/DC’s 1986 North American tour as opening act, and awed crowds on Saxon’s UK tour as special guests. Despite LOUDNESS’ ongoing success following the release of “HURRICANE EYES” (1987), vocalist Minoru Niihara had left the band in December 1988.The original line-up re-formed in 2000, and the overwhelming reaction to their album “SPIRITUAL CANOE” (2001) proved that the brand of heavy metal unique to LOUDNESS wasjust as valid in the 21st century.LOUDNESS was back on track to the international spotlight until they were hit with a major blow in 2008 – the un
Jordan Chan Stop Angry Tour In Sing...

The 9th 100 Million Ami Dewa Recita...
One way to recharge yourself is to take a short getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. Here’s a good way - soak yourself in the peaceful chants of Buddha Amitabha. The renowned Tibetan monk H.E. Garchen Rinpoche who embodies great compassion leads the retreat this year. He travels tirelessly from West to East in his old age for the sole purpose of teaching the methods to take rebirth in the Pure Land. Why is this so? Very often, people seek advice from him on their problems and issues in life. This is referred to as the arising of suffering and that suffering can be ceased with experiential and mindfulness practice based on the meditation on Buddha Amitabha. In the sessions with Rinpoche, we will be able to explore the liminal space where the limits of our capacity for compassion and renunciation mingle with the territory of pain and suffering for which we have yet to find a resolution. We will be able to explore our own path to deeper understanding and a great capacity for liberating the pain and suffering of oneself and other beings. The insightful integration of wisdom and compassion clarifies the distinction between our suffering, thoughts, emotions, projections and the actuality. Within that clarity, we can then experience genuine compassion from within for ourselves and others. This impactful yet easy to practice method for cultivating loving kindness and wisdom-based compassion allows effective projection towards peace and well-being for the universe in return. For more information, please visit http://www.amidewa-retreat.com or follow 100 Million Ami Dewa Recitation Retreat on Facebook.Click Here For MICE Convention Centre Conditions of Entry

A modern interpretation of a Greek tragedy featuring Nanyin (Siong Leng Musical Association), Peking opera and Modern Dance (Taiwan GuoGuang Opera Company). For three hundred and sixty-five nights, the Queen wrestles with entangled emotions that are impossible to unravel. In her dreams, it is he who repeatedly shoves her to the ground. She can neither get up nor maintain her balance. Before she could take a good look at his face, or barely begin to fantasize about him “biting her lips”, her dreams would end abruptly. The object of her desire is none other than the Prince, her cold and arrogant stepson.Painfully aware of her status and responsibilities, she keeps her emotions in check. But when news broke that the King (her husband and his father) has died on the battlefield, she could no longer restrain herself. In his presence, she bares her soul and professes her love for him, only to have her neck slashed on top of being condemned a ‘shameless slut’ in return. With her heart shattered and dignity crushed, the Queen has a final mission to fulfill. The King is alive afterall….
