Voices For Tomorrow
Synopsis

“Voices for Tomorrow” is a charitable musical concert hosted by The Chinese Solution to be held on the 19th January 2020 at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. The concert will feature a wide array of local and regional talents performing on various instruments as well as appearance by our guest star Alan Moo.

All proceeds will go to the Singapore Children’s Society, the solo beneficiary of this concert, to raise funds for children of the needy and low-income families here in Singapore.

Featured Artists:

Baritone – Seow Chee Chuan

Seow Chee Chuan, a Malaysian born Chinese who graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts with a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance, has been awarded the “Outstanding Performance Award” by Taipei National University of the Arts in 2014. He used to be one of the members of Taiwan Association of Vocal Artists, and singer in National Theater and Concert Hall Opera Studio, and Taipei Philharmonic Opera Studio , current teaching in UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur.

Pipa - Sim Teck Sing

Sim is a professional pipa player in Malaysia, President in Muar Chinese Orchestra and Plucked Strings Instructor in Malacca Pay Fong Middle School Chinese Orchestra. He is a member of Muar Vivo Society, Founder and Music Director of Muar Chinese Orchestra, and Music Director of Malacca Dreamz Pipa Chamber. Under the guidance of the well known Pipa soloist and educator, Professor Zhang Qiang, Sim’s Pipa skill has improved greatly to the next level. In July 2010, he completed his Bachelor of Music in Pipa Performance in Central Conservatory of Music.

Piano - Ernest Chin Yi En

Ernest has successfully graduated from TNUA (Taipei National University of Arts), he is the first Malaysian pianist admitted to the TNUA. Ernest studied piano from MS Au Yang Yao Chih, Loo Bang Hean , Constance Li and Fan- Chiang Yi. Ernest is an active performer as a solo pianist and piano collaborative in Malaysia and Singapore. Currently , Ernest is the assistant music director of The Piano Solution Singapore.
