Garden Beats Festival 2020
Synopsis

Garden Beats, Singapore’s pioneering eco-conscious music festival makes its way around the sun to return on the 29th of February 2020! Set amidst the lush greenery of Fort Canning Park, Garden Beats’ 6th year (7th edition) brings people together through a shared passion for music and the arts.

The festival also aims to inspire generations ahead towards greener living. Celebrated as a day to night festival, the Garden Beats experience is curated around its 3 core pillars: Music, Arts and Conscious Living. The festival creates a space of freedom and diversity where everyone is welcome to escape the sounds of the city and tune into nature.

Expect your favourite live music acts across two stages, large-scale interactive art installations, a variety of festival food options, and a platform to explore a world of greener living and wellness across talks & workshops.

MUSIC
Garden Beats is proud to present its first wave of dynamic international music acts. Headlining the Garden Stage is feisty indie favourite FOALS, followed by rising R&B songstress Sabrina Claudio and instrumental electronic act Giolì & Assia, all set to amplify the music festival experience.

Garden Beats 2020 will feature an additional side stage inviting aspiring homegrown and international disco, house and electronic musicians. Named the Sunshine Stage, in collaboration with Sunshine Nation (Garden Beats’ affiliate), this platform was created in reminiscence of the nostalgia of Sunshine Nation's earlier events, where they introduced the electronic music genre to the Singapore music scene.

Stay tuned for Phase 2 Artist Line-Up, to be announced on 14 January 2020.

ARTS
Garden Beats believes that the Earth is a better place with arts in it! Its 7th edition is a platform for artists, art collectives, and performers to showcase various forms of performing, visual and interactive arts at Art Lane and Theatre & Dance Pavilion. Festival guests will be invited to interact and engage in community-created and beautifully curated art installations while embarking on a journey of creative discovery!

CONSCIOUS LIVING
At the heart of Garden Beats is a deep-rooted love for the environment. Garden Beats is certified carbon-neutral since 2018 and has taken little green steps to implement sustainable initiatives such as Recycling Stations, Reusable Tin Cups, Single-use Plastic Ban, Vegan Food Options and Conscious Talks.

In 2020, Garden Beats will be taking their initiatives a step further in the green direction together with their eco-conscious partners. Aside from enforcing a BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Cup, or rent a tin cup on site) rule or rent a tin cup on site, Garden Beats is also implementing Composting Stations, and encouraging ticket-buyers to donate as little as US$1 to One Tree Planted to help reforest our planet!

Tickets are selling fast, so get yours now and join the festival that's making an impact! All you have to do is have the time of your life, and leave no waste behind!
