Film Concert - Symphony Orchestra performing music to the entire film
See the first-ever official Star Wars concert in Singapore!
Relive John Williams’ beloved music live while watching the entire movie on a giant screen.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released in theaters worldwide soon, so this is the perfect time to rediscover in an unprecedented and impressive experience as a cinema orchestral concert. More than 70 orchestra musicians will play the soundtrack live at the prestigious Esplanade Theatre. Created by five-time Academy Award®-winning composer John Williams, the epic music will take on a new dimension when played live with the movie projected on the big screen, with all of its dialogue and sound effects.
In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, thirty years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, the galaxy faces a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order. When a defector named Finn (John Boyega) crash-lands on a desert planet, he meets Rey (Daisy Ridley), a tough scavenger whose droid contains a top-secret map. Together, the young duo joins forces with Han Solo (Harrison Ford) to make sure the Resistance receives the intelligence concerning the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), the last of the Jedi Knights.
Oscar®-winning composer John Williams’ ubiquitous Star Wars “Main Title” theme has become part of popular culture since it was first heard accompanying Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. It is no surprise that Williams’ orchestral compositions for Star Wars are among the most beloved and recognizable themes in cinematic history, from the classic “Main Title” theme introduced in Star Wars: A New Hope to the ominous “Imperial March” from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back to the stirring “Duel of the Fates” from the prequel trilogy. After creating the scores for all six of the previous Star Wars films, Williams returned to compose and conduct his signature sweeping music for The Force Awakens. The powerful score will resonate like never before at the Esplanade Theatre.
An official Star Wars concert is coming to Singapore for the first time, an event not to be missed!
