Discover the unique musical language of Jean Sibelius, succinctly presented across his seven symphonies. The Philharmonic Orchestra delves into his cycle of symphonies for the second time. For his music is not only prophetic, it is forward looking and directly influences the music of our time.
Sibelius' first symphony is a reflection of youth, nostalgia and nationalism.
The third symphony while folkloric in character, points to a more linear and efficient compositional style.
