Paramore - Live In Singapore
Synopsis

LAMC Productions is excited to announce that iconic Grammy-Award winning rock superstars, PARAMORE, will perform in Singapore, as part of their ‘After Laughter’ tour on Tuesday, 21 August, 2018 at Zepp @ BigBox Singapore!

Paramore recently released their fifth studio album, 'AFTER LAUGHTER', which is notably the  band’s first new album in more than four years and they are excited to return to Singapore!

"AFTER LAUGHTER" was recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio B - Paramore’s first time recording in their own beloved hometown. This album also marks the return of original member Zac Farro back to the band.

Paramore has long established themselves as international rock superstars. Their previous self-titled album "PARAMORE" made a chart topping debut atop the SoundScan/Billboard 200 upon its April 2013 release marking Paramore’s first #1 album to date - and also scoring an array of #1 debuts around the globe. “PARAMORE” showcased a string of blockbuster singles including two 2x RIAA platinum-certified hits, the top 10 “Still Into You” and the #1 smash, “Ain’t It Fun.” The latter track proved Paramore’s biggest single to date, ascending to #1 at Hot AC and Rock radio outlets nationwide, #2 at Top 40, as well as to the top 10 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” - the band’s first ever top 10 hit on the overall chart and their highest peaking song thus far. Paramore has had a truly remarkable run of RIAA certified albums and singles since coming together in Nashville in 2004, from 2005’s gold-certified debut, “ALL WE KNOW IS FALLING” and 2007’s 2x platinum-certified breakthrough, “RIOT!” (with its 3x platinum-certified hit, “Misery Business,” as well as the platinum-certified singles "crushcrushcrush" and “That’s What You Get”) to 2008’s worldwide platinum “Decode” (from Chop Shop/Atlantic's chart-topping “TWILIGHT - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK”) and 2009’s platinum-certified “brand new eyes” and its GRAMMY®-nominated smash, “The Only Exception.”

Long regarded as an exhilarating live act, Paramore has spent much of the past decade-plus on the road, with highlights including sold out headline arena tours and show-stealing festival sets around the globe.

Paramore was formed in 2003 in Nashville, TN. Still in junior high, music made up 100% of their extracurricular time. Until eventually, they all left for tour in the middle of a school year and thank heaven music would eventually work out for them. No one understood how a band so un-country could be from this strange little town called Nashville, nor how a bunch of kids so small could play their angst-filled songs so proudly. Much time has passed since those innocent days. Life has worn its grooves into the record that is Paramore's collective life.

If you look closely, you can see that the members of Paramore all have very sexy dark circles under their eyes now... and surprisingly, haven't all quit music after years of sexism in the media, soap opera-worthy drama, and nearly 15 years inside the brutal beast that is the music industry. Paramore still reside in their beloved home of Nashville, TN, which these days looks a lot more like a construction site than a well-kept secret. They spend most their days and nights sitting on the porch together laughing or crying... reminiscing, daydreaming, or trying desperately to just stay present.

This show is not one to be missed!

The Piano Guys - Live in Singapore
LAMC Productions is excited to announce that global YouTube sensation, THE PIANO GUYS, will be returning to Singapore on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre. They will be performing their trademark classical renditions of today’s pop hits. What do you get when you mix up a marketing genius that does video, a studio engineer that writes music, a pianist that had a successful solo career, and a cellist that does pretty much everything? The Piano Guys: a miraculous meeting of “guys” with the same intrinsic purpose – to make a positive impact in the lives of people all over the world through music videos. The Piano Guys – Steven Sharp Nelson, Jon Schmidt, Al Van der Beek and Paul Anderson – became an online sensation by way of their immensely successful series of strikingly original self-made music videos, which have far surpassed 1 billion views and garnered 6 million subscribers on YouTube. They’ve made over 50 music videos since 2011, including their breakout hit, an innovative multi-handed version of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” and a gorgeous reinvention of the hit song “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen. Christmas Together is the Utah-based classical-pop group’s seventh major label album on Portrait/Sony Music Masterworks, following: Wonders, The Piano Guys, The Piano Guys 2, A Family Christmas, The Piano Guys – Live! and Uncharted. The group originated as a social media strategy for Anderson's piano store, The Piano Guys, in St. George, Utah. Anderson was acquainted with Schmidt, a locally notable pianist who often came in to practice on the pianos when he was in town. In 2009, Anderson saw a music video that Schmidt had uploaded to YouTube, "Love Story Meets Viva la Vida" – a musical blend of the Taylor Swift country pop version and Coldplay's Baroque pop song "Viva la Vida", which Schmidt performed with Nelson on cello. That video logged more than one million hits. Anderson asked the musicians to do more videos that he would professionally film and upload to his store's Facebook and YouTube pages to promote his store. Nelson brought his neighbor, van der Beek, a songwriter and music arranger, onto the team. Tel Stewart initially assisted with video production. While the first few videos did not make much of an impact, "Michael Meets Mozart" (2010) gained a respectable showing after Schmidt invited the nearly 30,000 people on his fan mailing list "to watch it and share it". In June 2011 the group won the "Most Up-and-Coming Channel" award in the YouTube "On the Rise" contest, which brought 25,000 new subscribers to their channel. In 2011 and 2012, the group uploaded a new music video every week to two weeks, attracting thousands of new viewers each time. Meanwhile, The Piano Guys store did not register any piano sales from two years of posting videos, and closed in March 2012. ‘The Piano Guys’, ‘The Piano Guys 2’, ‘A Family Christmas’, ‘Wonders’, ‘Uncharted’, and ‘Christmas Together’, each reached number one on the Billboard Classical Albums and New Age Albums charts. The Piano Guys’ story is a miracle. Their mission will always be to produce music videos that inspire, uplift, and make the world a better place. If we can make a positive impact in even one person’s life it has all been worth it to us.

Postmodern Jukebox - Live in Singapore
LAMC Productions is pleased to announce the return of viral vintage pop sensations, Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox to Singapore for one night only on 18 September, 2018, at Kallang Theatre! Sure, PMJ originally blew up online, with new videos added weekly that keep finding creative new ways to put creator Scott Bradlee’s trademark vintage twist on modern pop hits. But it’s onstage that the project has really come to shine, playing hundreds of shows to sold-out houses across the globe, from intimate standing-room gigs to large-scale, theatrical extravaganzas. Each time around, PMJ looks forward to bringing their unique spin on modern pop hits and retro pop stylings to new cities for the first time while revisiting favorite haunts that welcome them back with eagerly open arms. Missed them the last time around? Don’t make that mistake again - just keep an eye on [link for searching by city] to be sure you’re part of the in crowd next time around.Since Bradlee created the project in 2009, PMJ has amassed more than 925 million YouTube views and 3.2 million subscribers, chalked up more than 1.3 million likes on Facebook, performed on “Good Morning America,” topped iTunes and Billboard charts, caught the attention of NPR Music and NBC News, and played hundreds of shows to sold-out houses around the world.Imagine marrying the 21st century party vibe of Miley Cyrus or the minimalist angst of Radiohead with the crackly warmth of a vintage 78 or the plunger-muted barrelhouse howl of a forgotten Kansas City jazzman. Bradlee’s choice of material ranges from the ‘80s hard rock of Guns N’ Roses to hits as recent as 2015’s Justin Bieber plea “Sorry.” They’re rendered by a rotating cast of musicians and singers in fashions that date back to a time when Axl, Slash and Bieber’s parents had yet to be born - a time of street corner harmonies and torch singers, blues belters and golden-voiced crooners.Last year, PMJ collected 18 favorites from among the hundreds of songs that Bradlee has arranged to compile The Essentials for Concord Records. The album featured the songs that Bradlee has called “most essential to the PMJ universe,” including hits by Beyoncé, the White Stripes, Lorde, Outkast and Maroon 5 - along with the song that put the band on the map, a vaudevillian distressing of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop” fronted by Robyn Adele Anderson that garnered more than a million views within a week of being posted. The pin-up styled singer returned for the album’s opener, their ‘50s doo-wop version of Miley Cyrus’ celebration of an inhibition-shedding spree, “We Can’t Stop,” which garnered more than 19.5 million views and was named one of the “9 Best Viral Cover Videos of 2015” by People magazine.PMJ has long since outgrown the cramped confines of Bradlee’s small apartment in Queens, NY, where the original videos were shot at a time when he was one of countless struggling musicians in the city, to play some of the most heralded stages in the world. The spirit, though, has remained the same - a collective of musicians dedicated to the timelessness of music, performing songs vibrantly and without a trace of irony. And the media has taken notice: Entertainment Weekly wrote, “Scott Bradlee’s group is known for retro-fying modern hit songs into viral success,” while Yahoo! Music added, “if you’ve been on YouTube in the last couple of years, then you’re familiar with the everything-new-is-old-again brilliance of the viral phenomenon known as Postmodern Jukebox.”
