Paramore - Live In Singapore
LAMC Productions is excited to announce that iconic Grammy-Award winning rock superstars, PARAMORE, will perform in Singapore, as part of their ‘After Laughter’ tour on Tuesday, 21 August, 2018 at Zepp @ BigBox Singapore! Paramore recently released their fifth studio album, 'AFTER LAUGHTER', which is notably the band’s first new album in more than four years and they are excited to return to Singapore!"AFTER LAUGHTER" was recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio B - Paramore’s first time recording in their own beloved hometown. This album also marks the return of original member Zac Farro back to the band.Paramore has long established themselves as international rock superstars. Their previous self-titled album "PARAMORE" made a chart topping debut atop the SoundScan/Billboard 200 upon its April 2013 release marking Paramore’s first #1 album to date - and also scoring an array of #1 debuts around the globe. “PARAMORE” showcased a string of blockbuster singles including two 2x RIAA platinum-certified hits, the top 10 “Still Into You” and the #1 smash, “Ain’t It Fun.” The latter track proved Paramore’s biggest single to date, ascending to #1 at Hot AC and Rock radio outlets nationwide, #2 at Top 40, as well as to the top 10 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” - the band’s first ever top 10 hit on the overall chart and their highest peaking song thus far. Paramore has had a truly remarkable run of RIAA certified albums and singles since coming together in Nashville in 2004, from 2005’s gold-certified debut, “ALL WE KNOW IS FALLING” and 2007’s 2x platinum-certified breakthrough, “RIOT!” (with its 3x platinum-certified hit, “Misery Business,” as well as the platinum-certified singles "crushcrushcrush" and “That’s What You Get”) to 2008’s worldwide platinum “Decode” (from Chop Shop/Atlantic's chart-topping “TWILIGHT - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK”) and 2009’s platinum-certified “brand new eyes” and its GRAMMY®-nominated smash, “The Only Exception.”Long regarded as an exhilarating live act, Paramore has spent much of the past decade-plus on the road, with highlights including sold out headline arena tours and show-stealing festival sets around the globe.Paramore was formed in 2003 in Nashville, TN. Still in junior high, music made up 100% of their extracurricular time. Until eventually, they all left for tour in the middle of a school year and thank heaven music would eventually work out for them. No one understood how a band so un-country could be from this strange little town called Nashville, nor how a bunch of kids so small could play their angst-filled songs so proudly. Much time has passed since those innocent days. Life has worn its grooves into the record that is Paramore's collective life.If you look closely, you can see that the members of Paramore all have very sexy dark circles under their eyes now... and surprisingly, haven't all quit music after years of sexism in the media, soap opera-worthy drama, and nearly 15 years inside the brutal beast that is the music industry. Paramore still reside in their beloved home of Nashville, TN, which these days looks a lot more like a construction site than a well-kept secret. They spend most their days and nights sitting on the porch together laughing or crying... reminiscing, daydreaming, or trying desperately to just stay present. This show is not one to be missed!
Chance The Rapper - Live In Singapo...
LAMC Productions is excited to announce that Grammy-Award winning Chicago Rap prodigy, CHANCE THE RAPPER, will perform in Singapore for the FIRST time on Saturday, 25 August, 2018 at ZEPP@BIGBOX Singapore! Chance the Rapper is one of the biggest breakout stars of the past few years, achieving fame and success in an unorthodox way — by avoiding the major labels that want to sign him. His 2016 mixtape, Coloring Book earned him three Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album. Coloring Book became the first streaming-only album to receive a nomination for, and win, a Grammy.Fiercely independent and articulate, he’s found a way to please both the backpacker fans and a much wider audience through savvy collaborations with the likes of Lil Wayne and Kanye West. He’s also politically active, and a recent act of philanthropy, which saw him donate $1 million to Chicago public schools, even had fellow Chicagoan Michelle Obama tweeting her praise for him: “Thanks for giving back to the Chicago community, which gave us so much. You are an example of the power of arts education.”Born Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, he begin recording his first solo mixtape, 10 Day, in his senior year at Jones College Prep High School. A 14-track project that included work with a future frequent collaborator Vic Mensa, and production from Flying Lotus, it was released as a free download on mixtape website DatPiff. Chance had already come to the attention of Complex magazine, which featured him in its "10 new Chicago Rappers to watch out for" feature in February 2012, noting that “Chance has one of the more distinct flows and voices of any new artist in the game.”A hook-up with Childish Gambino for the track "They Don’t Like Me" on his Royalty mixtape in 2012 opened up another door. Gambino – aka the actor Donald Glover – invited Chance to open for him on his next tour. Chance was already recording his second mixtape, Acid Rap, the release that would really push him to the next level. Released again as a free download on April 30, 2013, it featured tracks with Twista and Gambino, and almost drowned in critical praise. Spin claimed that “Chance is a wide-eyed talent figuring out the world one deeply felt rap song at a time,” while the Chicago Tribune saw Acid Rap as “a springboard for his versatility as an MC, thinker, improviser and surrealist. Little wonder he’s being pursued by a gaggle of record-company suitors.”Coloring Book, the third free mixtape from Chance, dropped in May 2016. Again, an eclectic range of guests accompanied him — among them Kanye West, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, T-Pain and Justin Bieber. The single "No Problem" was an instant hit. The album became the first ever to chart on the Billboard 200 just from streaming, receiving 57.3 million in its first week alone. Entertainment Weekly thought it had sequencing issues, but raved about the creativity on display, concluding that Coloring Book "affirms Chance’s place as one of hip-hop’s most promising — and most uplifting — young stars.” Blending soul, gospel, hip hop and the music of Social Experiment, it was a favorite in best-of-year polls and with other artists. Mac Miller tweeted that it was “very very very very good. I like music that makes me feel things might just be alright.” The industry agreed, with Chance winning three Grammy awards in 2017.Don’t miss your opportunity to catch CHANCE THE RAPPER in Singapore for the first time!
Mike Shinoda's Post Traumatic Tour ...
LAMC Productions is excited to announce that the multi talented singer, rapper & producer, MIKE SHINODA, of Linkin Park, will will perform in Singapore, as part of his ‘Post Traumatic’ tour on Wednesday, 22 August, 2018 at ZEPP@BIGBOX Singapore! “I’m looking forward to getting back to releasing music and touring, those things are ‘normal’ to me -- it’s what my professional life has revolved around for years. And I know this will be different, so I’m excited to figure out what this new normal is.” - Mike ShinodaMike Shinoda is a songwriter, performer, record producer, film composer and visual artist with a B.A. in illustration and Doctorate of Humane Letters from Art Center College of Design. He is best known as co-lead vocalist for multi-platinum Grammy-Award winning rock band, Linkin Park, which has sold over 55 million albums worldwide and commanded a massive fan following, holding the title as the most-liked band on Facebook and amassing over 5.5 billion YouTube views. Shinoda is the founding member of the group, which achieved the best-selling debut of this century with their Diamond-certified album, Hybrid Theory, selling over 10 million copies in the US alone. Collectively, they sold out stadiums around the globe and earned a multitude of accolades including 2 Grammy Awards, 5 American Music Awards, 4 MTV VMA Awards, 10 MTV Europe Music Awards, 3 World Music Awards, and most recently, “Rock Album of the Year” at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards for their seventh studio album, One More Light. In the months since the passing of Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington, Shinoda has immersed himself in art as a way of processing his grief. With no agenda, Shinoda hunkered down alone in his Los Angeles home and began writing, recording, and painting. In January, he released the Post Traumatic EP consisting of three deeply personal songs – each one a powerful, stream-of-consciousness expression of unvarnished grief – accompanied by homemade visuals that Shinoda filmed, painted and edited himself. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with New York Times stating “The tracks are reverberant electronic dirges; the rhymes, heading into sung choruses, testify to bewilderment, mourning, resentment, self-pity and questions about what to do.”Following the EP release, Shinoda continued to create, and the result is the upcoming Post Traumatic, a transparent and intensely personal album that, despite its title, isn’t entirely about grief, though it does start there.Get ready for Mike Shinoda’s first tour as a solo artist!
