Pertaining to his shows, Townsend said, “The shows are at nice venues, and include a spoken word element with questions from the audience as well as aspects of my entire career represented in this one show.”“Before I tour with a band again, I wanted to have the opportunity to play for you, and meet up with the people who not only have made my work possible, but inspire meto continue. In a world of computers and social media, to be stripped of all the bells and whistles is a very important step for my reintroduction to the live concert world. Christmas Peace The Music of Sylvai...
Sylvain Guinet is a French composer born in 1978 in Mâcon, France. As a child, he studied piano and electronic organ for several years, while participating in several European competitions. It is, however, with composition that he finds a way to express himself fully, develop his style, and pursue his vocation.Nowadays, his scores are played worldwide by amateurs and professional piano players whose passion resonate with Sylvain's music. His scores create worlds of romance, dreams and wonder, and open pathways to contemplation and meditation."Inspiration" is the foundation of his writing. "Inspiration" is the foundation of his writing. As many composers, Sylvain writes music only when he feels "inspired", what he calls "writing from the heart", as opposed to writing music solely based on the rules of solfge, "writing with the brain".Sylvain spent many years trying to define precisely what "inspiration" is, how it rises and fades away, and how it can explain, for example, why one piece may be written in just one day while another may require more effort while both are technically similar.Whatever the artistic field we are in, inspiration is a "connection to oneself", an alignment. It may sound easy to grasp and yet it is so difficult to identify and reach. One needs to learn how to feel all those moments where one is authentic, where one is oneself, without asking questions. One needs to learn how to let the mind and emotions go to reach full awareness, and concentrate on the essential: to live fully "the present moment".When we are finally connected, inspiration comes from the deepest parts of oneself, everything seems clear, easy and wonderful. This state is the amazing result of an "unconscious meditation".

Engelbert Humperdinck - Live in Sin...
LAMC Productions is proud to announce that international recording icon and the best-established master of ballads, Engelbert Humperdinck, will return to Singapore to perform on November 05, 2019 at University Cultural Centre Hall @ NUS! With The Pre-show Party by Gig-Bar at 6pm-7:45pm at the Atrium in UCC @ NUS, this tour stop in Singapore will surely be a marvelous experience! For more than five decades, the renowned romantic crooner has shared a love affair with fans of every age, on every continent. One of the world’s most instantly recognized voices, Engelbert’s music has withstood the test of time, and remains as the exemplary global entertainer - having one of the largest fans clubs, sold more than 140 million records, including 64 gold albums and 23 platinum, four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe, and stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Las Vegas Walk of Fame, and with his sold-out shows all over the world!ABOUT THE ARTISTEngelbert Humperdinck never wanted to be a singer. A career in music, yes, but he was extraordinarily shy. The youngest boy of a family of ten children originally from Leicester, England, he grew up in Madras, India, where his father was stationed during World War II. Engelbert’s childhood was dominated by the love of his parents and his brothers and sisters. He knew he could sing harmonies, but the power of his own voice came as a surprise to him and other people. “It’s just so loud, but I discovered I can be tender with it at the same time.”Engelbert exploded onto the music scene in the sixties with The Beatles and the Rolling Stones. His sixties did not so much swing as rage. The shy handsome boy catapulted almost instantly to world icon. He became great friends with Elvis Presley and the two legends often performed each other’s songs. His first single in the charts was “Release Me,” which went into the Guinness Book of Records for achieving 56 consecutive weeks on the charts. It was No. 1 in 11 countries. The song was re-released after being used for a UK national television commercial for John Smith’s beer. The following decades saw Engelbert touring the world to sell-out crowds. Engelbert seems to take great pleasure in every moment on stage, a place where he can lose his inhibitions and no longer be the child who was once shy.Engelbert’s music has transcended time and his voice still continues to reach out to people now – serving to transport and inspire, to embrace and to provoke feelings and emotions…ingredients that are no doubt the essence of his long-lasting success.Witness the melodic tunes this first-class singer has to offer and sing along to major hits like “Release Me,” “The Last Waltz,” “Quando Quando Quando,” “There Goes My Everything,” and a lot more!

Esplanade Presents Voices Series ...
Formerly known as “A4”, the history of Opus Jam began in 1995 when the group’s founder Emmanuel Cappelaere met the American Gospel vocal group Acapella. He realised that their voices could express themselves with strength and greater intensity especially since voices were the only featured instruments. After 15 years of performance with 800 concerts and performances around the world, and five albums with over 35,000 copies sold, Cappelaere decided to broaden his musical horizon and enrich his arrangements. To do so, he created the sextet Opus Jam in 2012 at the Saint-Emilion with a wish also to remind the public that harmonised a cappella singing started in Europe. The group is supported by Ibrahim Maalouf, Didier Lockwood, Jean-François Zygel and other musicians. Now, Emmanuel Cappalaere (tenor), Julien Guilloton (bass), David-Alexandre Aquiba (beatboxing), Rémy Arenas (baritone), Nicolas Gabet (soprano) and Mathieu Becquerelle (tenor) present a combination of polyphony with a touch of humour and lightness, giving a new and unique spin on a cappella singing.
