Don’t Forget to Remember Me & Don’t Know, Don’t Care Written by Haresh SharmaDirected by Peter Sau Set Design by Vincent LimLighting Design by Dorothy PngSound Design by Bani Haykal What are the secrets that a family keeps from others—and do family members keep one another in the dark sometimes? The Necessary Stage’s Theatre for Seniors presents Family Secrets, a double bill of well-loved plays by Cultural Medallion winner Haresh Sharma, about two families encountering change through illness afflicting their senior members, and how they rise above the challenge to grow stronger and closer than ever. Don’t Forget to Remember MeWhen Madam Wong begins her retirement, all she can think of is enjoying her golden years with rest and serenity, surrounded by family and friends. However, rest turns into restlessness as she starts to lose her short-term memory. Her dream of a peaceful life soon becomes a nightmare of remembering and forgetting. First commissioned by the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, Don’t Forget to Remember Me is a touching and thought-provoking play that deals with the trials and tribulations of people with dementia and their struggles to come to terms with their illness. In Singapore, about five percent of people above 65 have dementia. It is an illness that causes brain cells to die at a faster rate than normal. This leads to failing memory, deterioration of intellectual function and personality changes. Dementia is not normal ageing. Bring Me The Horizon with special g...
LAMC Productions is thrilled to announce that Sheffield’s finest and one of British metal’s most important bands, BRING ME THE HORIZON and special guests WHILE SHE SLEEPS are set to perform in Singapore on Thursday, 2 February, 2017, 8pm at D’Marquee @ Downtown East! Bring Me The Horizon have had a whirlwind two years, which has seen them sell out shows around the world including Wembley Arena, score a Top 3 album, dominate Radio 1’s playlist with 260 plays of ‘Drown’ alone, and sell over 2 million albums worldwide to date. They have successfully transcended the world of metal into the world of music that appeals to the masses, without losing an ounce of credibility or compromising their sound. Bring Me The Horizon released their new studio album, ‘That’s The Spirit’ in September 2015, and recently revealed the first track from the album as Dan Carter’s Rockest Record. The setup track ‘Happy Song´ instantly clocked up three simultaneous trends on Twitter, top trends on Facebook, and entered the iTunes rock chart at number 1 in the UK, US, Australia, and many other countries, creating anticipation worldwide. While She Sleeps is a melodic hardcore/metalcore band formed in Sheffield in 2006. The band consists of Lawrence Taylor on Vocals, Mat Welsh on Guitar/Backing Vocals, Sean Long on Guitar/Piano, Aaran McKenzie on Bass and Adam Savage on Drums/Percussion. While She Sleeps play a unique mix of melodic hardcore with strong metal influences. They have released two studio album and are working on their third album, You Are We, which is set to release on April 2017. Brainwashed, the band's second studio album, is the culmination of what the band’s five members went through in order to make it. It’s an album that got made both in spite of and because of the things that threatened to prevent that happening – serious trouble with Taylor’s vocal chords that required two bouts of surgery and which essentially delayed the making of the record by a whole year.
