After their successful run in 2016, The Noose is crossing over from TV to stage for the second time with more madcap sketches and sidesplitting jokes, as our crazy band of Noose reporters and their stand-up comedian friends tackle the bastion of Singapore’s meritocratic society – EDUCATION. With everyone and their grandma sharing stories of their successes and failures at age 12, The Noose & Kakis: My PSLE Is Better Than Yours figures that there’s no better way to discuss hard-hitting issues affecting the future of our nation than through humour and irreverence. Together with four of Singapore’s funniest comedians – Kumar, Fakkah Fuzz, Rishi Budhrani, and Sam See, get ready for an unbridled show of rip-roaring proportions as your favourite Noose characters light up the stage at the MES Theatre at Mediacorp.
The Noose Team’s Alter Ego - Chua En Lai, Alaric Tay, Suhaimi Yusof and Kayly Loh
The Noose’s Kakis
Arguably Singapore’s biggest name when it comes to comedy, Kumar has been tickling audiences silly since 1991. His cross dressing and risqué brand of humour have made him a household name in Singapore.
Having performed actively on open mic and stand-up comedy shows for almost 5 years, Fakkah Fuzz is deemed one of the fastest rising talents in the local comedy scene. As they say “Everyone loves a bit of Fuzz.”
Rishi made history in 2012 by becoming the first Singaporean stand-up comedian to win the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition, and also became the first Singaporean comedian to play at top international clubs like the Gotham Comedy Club in New York and The Comedy and Magic Club in Los Angeles.
Sam See is part of the region’s new wave of stand-up comedians, with the wit, skill and liver capacity to entertain audiences of all kinds. Based in Singapore, he has performed in numerous comedy festivals in Asia, including the Singapore Comedy Fringe Festival, the Magner’s International Comedy Festival and the Crackhouse Comedy Carnival.
